Dear Ben,
When David Clarke published his book Converted on LSD 2nd Edition, he did not realize the response that he would get when he asked the Asylum Seekers, a punk rock band from Gosport to write and perform his story, in the form of Punk Rock Opera called Borstal Boy. He even received a letter from Prince Charles encouraging him in his work thanking him for a copy of his book.

The response he now has, from 24 prison chaplains in the UK, has been tremendous with requests to provide over 400 copies to HMP Belmarsh, HMP Wandsworth, HMP Risely and HMP Manchester (Strange Ways), prison chaplains.

David has since requested a range of local church elders to comment on his story and if they think its content could be helpful to his target population. He has suggested that he publish their comments, recommendations or criticisms in a special edition of the book for use in our prisons.
David is now looking for assistance from a sympathetic printing company to print this special edition as he wishes to donate them, at no cost to inmates and prison chaplains.
